EasyCar Terms & Conditions

The minimum booking is two consecutive days. Hourly hires are not offered.

Pick-up and drop-off times are agreed in writing on the reservation. The car must be returned at the same time of day as it was collected, at the location named in the contract. Earlier returns do not reduce the agreed price.

Extensions are possible subject to fleet availability, request them at least 12 hours before the original return time by phone or email.

Every EasyCar rental includes:

• Comprehensive (CDW) and third-party insurance with no excess on glass or tyres
• Unlimited kilometres across the entire rental period
• Slovak motorway vignette for the calendar year
• 24/7 roadside assistance across the EU
• A second authorised driver at no extra cost
• Winter tyres on every vehicle from 15 October to 30 April

Not included: fuel beyond the tank delivered at pick-up, traffic fines, parking fees, toll roads outside Slovakia (Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland) and optional extras such as child seats, ski racks, snow chains or GPS units.

Each car is delivered with full comprehensive cover. Damage to the windscreen, side glass, headlights and tyres carries no excess, repair or replacement is handled by EasyCar at no cost to the renter, provided the damage is reported within 24 hours.

For body damage and total loss the standard excess is €500. The €100 refundable deposit is applied first; any excess above that is settled from the credit card on file.

Insurance does not cover damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, racing or off-road use, transporting flammable or hazardous goods, ignoring posted seasonal road closures, or using the vehicle for commercial passenger transport (ride-hailing, taxi work).

A refundable security deposit of €100 is held on the renter’s credit card at the time of pick-up. The hold is released within five business days of return, provided the vehicle is delivered back in the agreed condition with a full tank and no outstanding fines.

Debit cards are accepted at EasyCar’s discretion. Cash deposits are not standard practice but can be arranged in advance.

A grace window of 30 minutes applies to the agreed drop-off time. Beyond that, each commenced hour is charged at one-quarter of the daily rate, capped at one full additional rental day.

Returns delayed by more than four hours without prior notice are treated as a new rental day. If the vehicle is needed for a subsequent booking, EasyCar reserves the right to recover reasonable costs of providing the next customer with an equivalent alternative.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pick-up are free of charge , no deposit is collected at booking, so nothing needs to be refunded.

Inside the 48-hour window, a flat €30 administration fee applies. No-shows are charged the equivalent of the first rental day.

If EasyCar is unable to deliver the booked car (mechanical issue, accident with the previous renter), an equivalent or better vehicle is provided at no extra cost. If no replacement is possible, the booking is cancelled with no fee.

These terms form part of every individual rental agreement signed at pick-up. Anything not covered explicitly here is governed by Act 40/1964 Coll. of the Slovak Civil Code and related consumer-protection legislation of the Slovak Republic.

Disputes are resolved first by good-faith negotiation. Where this fails, the competent court is the district court covering the registered seat of INVETIX s.r.o.

EasyCar may update these terms at any time. Updates apply from the moment they are published on easycar.sk; reservations already confirmed continue under the version accepted at booking.
